Namitha took birth on May 10, 1980 in Surat in the Gujarat province of India in a Gujrati business family. She is the only daughter in his family. Her father is businessman while her mother is a housewife. Although born in Gujarat she was brought up in Mumbai, the mecca of Indian film. She got a degree in English.
Before appearing as a actress Namitha won Miss Surat in 1998. She participated Miss India contest in 2001. She was placed 4 ranked. Film Director Siddiqui who cast her in a Malayalam movie and she acted in two Telugu movies under the name of Bhairavi. Success came to her from "Engal Anna" (Vijayakant). Item girl tag glued to her after the famous item (dance) number "Arjuna Arjuna" from the movie "Aai" (Sarath Kumar).
